"Passport" photos

Take some passport type photos with you when you come to India. It might be useful in some situations. Like - when/if you will apply for Protected Area Permit (PAP) or you will try to purchase local mobile phone prepaid (you can try only prepaid, not postpaid) SIM card. Avoid running around in panic to search for photo labs. 
Well, if we speak about local SIM cards, then it is 50/50 that you will get it because customers must submit local address proof. But you can try. In some places like Goa it is pretty easy.
